Week 13 2019: Pickups of the Year

Pickups of the year you guys Well here we are on the eve of our first playoff Sunday, and we have a Survivor winner! Survivor Standings Last Week (12): Zcub gained a second elimination thanks Ertz' 21 point blowup and Chubb's continued dominance. Wampus Cats were knocked out. Final Week 13 Standings Sudowoodogang : 96.48⚔️⚔️ zcub : 83.30 ⚔️⚔️ Wampus Cats : RIP ⚔️⚔️⚔️💀 BriasaurusRex : RIP 💀 GrandPooba : RIP  ⚔️💀 Lucky Charms : RIP ⚔️💀 BurntOrangeMan : RIP 💀 lilmoonee : RIP 💀 cfisher1991 : RIP 💀 Country Roads, Take Mahomes : RIP 💀 Sudowoodogang may have narrowly missed our playoffs, but the resurgence of his team over the 2nd half of the year has won him our 2nd survivor title. In a strange turn of events, these were actually two of the lower scoring teams on the week (7 and 9). Sudowoodo can thank Kyle Rudolph and Keenan Allen for their recent TD streaks, but honestly he should be thanking Zcub's players for forgetting there was football on...

Week 10 2019: Playoff Scenarios

Welp. It's been a while huh? Between having a son (which is awesome) actually having a lot of work to do (surprisingly not that bad) and trying to go to the gym (also surprisingly not that bad) I keep finding myself running out of time to write commentary, or to watch the games on weekends. I might not even have time to play Pokemon when it comes out tomorrow... .. .. nah, I'm sure that'll work itself out. Survivor Standings We have not 1, not 2, but 3 weeks of survivor standings to update. Lets get going In week 8 : Wampus Cats (168.54) eliminated BurntOrangeMan (77.30) on the backs of Aaron Jones and Latavius Murray, who combined for 70+ In week 9: Sudowoodo Gang (138.74) eliminated Lucky Charms (90.12) thanks to the return of Melvin Gordon and Tyreek Hill And here are the week 10 results Wampus Cats : 162.88 ⚔️⚔️⚔️ zcub : 127.62 BriasaurusRex : 116.02 Sudowoodogang : 115.10⚔️ GrandPooba : 88.22 ⚔️ Lucky Charms : RIP ⚔️💀 BurntOrangeMan : RIP ...

Week 7 2019 : The Return of Aaron

R-E-L-A-X I've written multiple times this year that Rodgers just isn't the same player he was before, and it's time to start looking at him as a borderline QB1 for Fantasy. It, uh, appears that was a bit premature. Rodgers put up 33% of his season total in one week with 6 total TDs against the Raiders, all without Devante Adams. Maybe he's still got it. Survivor Standings Lots of low scores this week means 3 teams get to squeak by with sub 90 point games and live to die another day. No team thus far has more than one elimination. GrandPooba : 129.06 ⚔️ Wampus Cats : 124.16 ⚔️ BriasaurusRex : 116.12 Lucky Charms : 106.14⚔️ zcub : 88.62 Sudowoodogang : 86.66 BurntOrangeMan : 85.06 lilmoonee : 76.74 💀 cfisher1991 : RIP 💀 Country Roads, Take Mahomes : RIP 💀 Lilmoonee got 12 points total from Mixon and Ingram, and a disgusting 4 point performance from Wentz to be the 3rd dead this year. GrandPooba gets his first elimination thanks in large p...

Week 6 2019 : Can you Diggs it?

Can you Diggs it? We are about halfway through the season and it’s still pretty tight among most of the teams in the league. Many of the bottom and middle teams in the standings are having players break out and are making a push for the top. Who will be crowned king? Well, if Stefon Diggs keeps playing like he did this week…. probably Lilmoonee. Diggs recorded a ridiculous 167 yards and three touchdowns last week to score an eye-popping 41 points, the most of his career. Prior to today, Diggs had been averaging 50.6 yards per game and .2 TDs, which is why I can’t blame his manager for benching him. Fortunately for Lilmoonee, he was able to eek out a victory despite Diggs being benchwarmer of the season (probably). Survivor Standings Lucky Charms : 147.00⚔️ BriasaurusRex : 142.84 zcub : 130.44 Wampus Cats : 110.62 ⚔️ lilmoonee : 104.14 BurntOrangeMan : 102.44 Sudowoodogang : 103.10 GrandPooba : 95.92 cfisher1991 : 84.98 💀 Country Roads, Take Mahomes : RIP 💀 Ther...

Week 5 2019 : Early Season Review

Sorry I didn't write one of these last week 5 Weeks now in the books, let's spend a bit of time looking back at what has surprised us so far this season, and maybe some answered questions. From our presason post, we can already answer a few of our questions: Are the Brows actually good now? Nope. I feel like we all should have seen this coming. Will the entire Cowboys offense hold out for better contracts?  Nah. Zeke proved he knew what he was doing chilling in Cabo all summer and getting a huge contract, but Dak and Cooper are participating without similar shenanigans. Can Antonio Brown recover from his  frostbitten feet  (seriously?)  He did. Of course he went on to call out his team publicly, get cut, sign with the patriots, get accused of assault, and then get cut again . But at least his feet are ok. Game Changers Which players through 5 weeks have pushed past their projected value to totally change the landscape of our league? Quarte...

Week 3 2019: Everybody is a winner (almost)

You're all winners, kinda In an odd turn of events after week 3, we have not 5 or even 6, but 7(!) teams with winning records. If the playoffs were to start today, someone (Take Mahomes..) would miss them despite being above .500 How does that happen? Simple: you just need the other teams to lose a lot . Wampus Cats and Sudowoodo Gang, both sitting at 0-3, have worked together to make such a feat possible. You're welcome guys. Can this continue? Definitely not. Too many of our 2-1 teams play each other this week. But its kinda interesting to look at huh? Power Rankings I feel like there are clear D and A tier teams but the rest is kind of a mess.  A Tier BurntOrangeMan: I had this team at the top last week and here they remain. This team has a good set of very consistent RBs and 2 WRs with the ability to put up league leading scores to take over games. LilMoonee: Talk about jumping up the rankings. LilMoonee put up a league high 169 points this week o...

Week 2 2019: The death of the quarterback

Sorry Browns. This week unfortunately saw 2 hall of fame level QBs leave the game with significant injuries. Ben Roethlisberger (whose name I still have to spellcheck every time I type it after all these years) and Drew Brees (who I'm reminded 5-10 times each Saturday went to the same highschool as Sam Ehlinger) are both out for a long time. For Big Ben it means the end of the season, maybe the end of his career. It looks like Brees will return this year but there are big questions for a lot of our 1st and 2nd round picks. Where will Kamara, Michael Thomas, Ju-Ju, and James Conner end up with their new QBs?  Considering how late I'm writing this, I guess we're about to find out. Power Rankings Do we know more than we did after week 1? Yes, definitely. I'm more confident than before that my team is bad. Do we know enough to establish a clear S tier team? Probably not yet. A Tier BurntOrangeMan: As long as Henry and Fournette keep outperforming...
