Pickups of the year you guys
Survivor Standings
Last Week (12): Zcub gained a second elimination thanks Ertz' 21 point blowup and Chubb's continued dominance. Wampus Cats were knocked out.

Sudowoodogang may have narrowly missed our playoffs, but the resurgence of his team over the 2nd half of the year has won him our 2nd survivor title. In a strange turn of events, these were actually two of the lower scoring teams on the week (7 and 9). Sudowoodo can thank Kyle Rudolph and Keenan Allen for their recent TD streaks, but honestly he should be thanking Zcub's players for forgetting there was football on over the weekend. Zcub's top 3 WRs combined for 9.6 points. Seriously.
Pickups of the Year
And without further ado, my favorite segment of the season. It's time to look back at which of us predicted the breakout stars of the season and snatched them up.
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson (QB1) - Zcub.
Jackson isn't just the best QB off waivers this year, he's the best waiver value across all positions. He has nearly a 50 point lead on the next best QB thanks to his ridiculous 81 rushing yards/game, to go along with 25 passing TDs (second only to Russel Wilson). He's basically a top 10 QB ... with a top 20 RB stats added on. Zcub has now managed to get the best QB in the league at bargain prices 2 years in a row (Mahomes as a ~10th round pick last year)
Honorable Mentions
- Dak Prescott - Wampus Cats (QB2)
- Josh Allen - Take Mahomes, Country Roads (QB7).
Runningback
Jamaal Williams (RB23) - Sudowoodogang
Lets be honest, it wasn't a great season for RB pickups. Williams is the only waiver add that ends the season in the top 25, and he's surprisingly been able to do it without jumping Aaron Jones on the depth chart. Since week 6 he's averaging almost 13 points a game playing behind Jones in snap count.
Honerable Mentions: Not totally sure what to say here. The next two waiver players both have some value but I don't think anyone started them and liked it at any point this season.
- Carlos Hyde (RB26) : owned by Wampus Cats for most of the year and recently dropped
- Ronald Jones III (RB29): owned and dropped by several teams, now owned by Wampus Cats
Wide Receiver
DJ Chark (WR8) - Wampus Cats
For most of the offseason, all the Jags WR hype was surrounding the Dede Westbrook/Nick Foles connection. So what happens when Foles leaves game 1 injured to be replaced by walking meme Garnder Minshew? DJ Chark. He began the season with 5 TDs in 5 games and now sits tied for 2nd in the league at 8.
Honorable Mentions
- John Brown - Lucky Charms(WR16)
- Devante Parker - Take Mahomes Country Roads(WR20)
Tight End
Darren Waller (TE3) - Funky Monkeys
The Oakland Raiders are not a good NFL offense. A lot of that probably has to do with their QB and lack of WR production, but none of that matters to the Fantasy value of Waller, who has managed to make himself the team's #1 passing target. Waller is separated by less than a point from TE2 Mark Andrews despite having 5 less TDs on the season thanks to the sheer volume of passes he's catching weekly.
Honorable Mentions: Honestly no one. Apparently Jason Witten somehow ended up as TE11 but guess what? None of us own him. Considering one team (Lucky Charms) has 3 top 10 TEs on their roster someone probably should have.
