Can you Diggs it?
After this last round of games a few new questions come to light:
We are about halfway through the season and it’s still pretty tight among most of the teams in the league. Many of the bottom and middle teams in the standings are having players break out and are making a push for the top. Who will be crowned king? Well, if Stefon Diggs keeps playing like he did this week…. probably Lilmoonee. Diggs recorded a ridiculous 167 yards and three touchdowns last week to score an eye-popping 41 points, the most of his career. Prior to today, Diggs had been averaging 50.6 yards per game and .2 TDs, which is why I can’t blame his manager for benching him. Fortunately for Lilmoonee, he was able to eek out a victory despite Diggs being benchwarmer of the season (probably).

There's not a ton to say about cfisher's elimination this week. Both Todd Gurley and Josh Jacobs were ruled out before the game but stayed in his lineup. Oops.
Other things of note:
Who needs Sony Michel when you have Tom Brady (no bitterness here…..)
Tommy had two rushing touchdowns on Thursday. That is the first time he has scored multiple TDs on the ground since 2011. He did not throw for a single touchdown but who needs arms when you have such threatening legs. For some reason, the Patriots have an aversion to giving Sony Michel the ball on the goal line. They scored 3 times from within the 2-yard line and Michel didn’t get a single attempt. Michel owners (me) may need to temper expectations.
Kyler Murray, the quiet fantasy stud
Murray is one of only a few QBs to score over 16 fantasy points per game this season. Despite being on a train wreck of a team whose offensive weapons are limited to David Johnson and an aged Larry Fitzgerald. This guys seems to be the real deal and a huge draft value.
Tyreek Hill is definitely still good
One game back and no down time for Hill scoring 22.5 points. He seems like he didn’t lose a single step. Mahomes clearly wants to throw him the ball, especially in the red zone. The rest of the KC offense has looked a bit shaky for the last two weeks, but I doubt that will last long.
Russel’s Resurgence
He has looked unbelievable this year. He has 1704 yards passing, 14 TDs, no interceptions, and a QB rating of 124.75. That is insane even before I mention the 151 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. He is a distant first place for MVP. Now I am going to be 100% real with you guys. I drafted Russel Wilson by accident. There was another QB right next to him in the list (Drew Brees I think) who I wanted to take but I miss clicked. This is what Bob Ross would refer to as a happy accident and I can take absolutely zero credit.
Christian McCaffrey’s Redemption?
McCaffrey has been having an incredible season….. except week two against the Bucs. Somehow, the Bucs bottled him up. He scored 19.7 points which is a very good day by any standard. So did McCaffery tear them up? Not really. If you look closer, he only had 31 yards rushing and 26 yards receiving. What saved him is that within those 57 total yards, he scored two touchdowns. I don’t know if Tampa Bay just has his number, whether their rushing defense is just that good, or if they are scoring so many points that people are abandoning the run. Regardless, they aren’t giving up a lot of yards on the ground. You make want to keep that in mind if your RBs are facing them.
After this last round of games a few new questions come to light:
- Is Kirk Cousins good now?
- Why are all the RBs injured or bad?
- Will Jason Garrett finally get axed?
- Will Cam Newton have a job when he returns?
- Are the Niners the real deal?
