Sometimes, Fantasy Football is about winning the draft, or getting that breakout player on waivers. Like drafting Hunt in the 7th or getting Wentz for free. Other times, it's about picking the right players to start and which ones to sit. Like when Amari Cooper puts up 40 points on your bench as you lose by 5.
Sometimes though, it's just dumb luck. There were two teams this week that were ~1 point away from winning their matchup and moving into playoff position only to lose at the last possible second. 1 dropped pass that gets caught, one field-goal that goes in instead of bouncing off the upright. So close, but not quite close enough.

Recaps!
Travis Kelce
Chunky Salsa (85) > 🤓🖒🏈 (83.24)
In the first of our nail-biters, 🤓🖒🏈 took a lead Sunday with good games from Ajayi and McCaffrey, only for Chunky Salsa to be saved on Monday night by a Kelce touchdown. Salsa also got a pretty good game out of Tyrod and Hopkins, which helped gloss over an abysmal 8 carries for 7 yards by Doug Martin. In the end, 🤓🖒🏈 honestly should have taken this one home, but didn't notice that Ertz was sitting out this week and registered a 0 in the TE slot. So close.
Alvin Kamara
... ok look, all if this guy's gifs are from college
He's young
Cut me some slack
Colton's Team(130.72) > Rodgers That 🏈💪 (76.38)
This one was... not close at all. Colton had 7 of his 9 players break into double digits, including a career best game for rookie Kamara to steamroll Rodgers That. Her team fell apart a bit as McCoy, Collins, Ingram all turned in really lousy weeks after pretty good showings this season. Colton's team could have scored even higher had he played Marvin Jones. All in all, things are looking up for his team as he reclaims the 6th playoff spot.

Ezekiel Elliott
Zane's Team(87.78) > Perezoso Majestuoso(66.34)
What a week for Perezoso. Even with Bell and Diggs on bye he still had a shot to take out Zane's team until Sunday morning when Fournette was held out due to... missing a team picture? There's more to the story than that, but he basically sat because he doesn't know how to set an alarm. Oops. Zane's team snuck in a victory on one of their lower scoring weeks thanks to a breakout game for Lee and Zeke's continued dominance. Stafford was the only player who really did much for Perezoso. Zane's team holds onto that sweet 2nd place bye as Perezoso sits in 4th.
Todd Gurley
Greg's Grand Team (92.32) > last shall be 1st 😜(86.58)
It's official. Greg's Grand Team has some sort of invincibility this year. Even in a week where Cook put up a huge game and all or Last shall be 1st's WRs showed up, a terrible QB performance from Cousins kept GGT in first place. His team put up good numbers this week despite having 3 players on bye thanks to Gurley, who is now the highest scoring RB in the game. WRs Golden Tate and Ginn both showed up as well with double digit scores.
- Pickup of the Week, Sammy Watkins, Last shall be 1st. Sammy put up his 2nd best score of the season and seems to be building rapport with Goff, making him a very valuable pickup off of waivers.
Dak Prescott
Travis's Team(82.66) > 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ (81.46)
Saving the best for last, this was our closest matchup of the week, and it all came down to the Monday night game. Matt Prater bounced a 50+ yard FG off the bottom bar of the uprights that would have given triple facepalm the win, but even in the last seconds her team had a chance to clutch the game on any decent pass to Jordy during the 2 minute drill. Sadly for her, it wasn't meant to be. Travis made a great move to put in new pickup Kenyan Drake, and Dak lit up the Chiefs to bring his record up to 5-4, 1 game away from knocking Perezoso out of the top 4. For the facepalms, it's back to being 1 game out of the playoff bracket.
Next week we get our first rematches of the season, so if you're looking for revenge on the team that starting you out 0-1, now is your chance.
